Everything Apples!

On Wednesday, it was all about apples!  We started the day by adding apples to the pan to start making our homemade applesauce!

Thanks to everyone for bringing in some apples.  We had plenty!  We started cooking the applesauce, which takes a while.  While we waited (patiently!), we read a story called Apples, Apples, Apples written and illustrated by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace.

We made a recipe for the applesauce so we could remember how we made it.

We still had to wait for it to finish cooking.  It smelled very good and it was hard to wait!  We added a poem called Apple Happy  to our poetry binders.

Finally!  The applesauce was ready!!!  Mrs. Radermacher helped dish it up for us.

Then came the best part…we got to eat it.  YUM!  We loved it and we even shared some with our neighbor at school, Mr. Ciemney.

What a fun day!
