Last Day of Kindergarten, 2019

We started each day in kindergarten reading the Morning Message.  They hardly need me to help them with this task now!

These little people have grown so much this year, physically, emotionally and academically.  My hope is that they have learned to be kind.  Be kind to others and to themselves.

It sure looked different in here after school was over.  It was also really quiet!  Thank you all so much for sharing your precious child with us at Northview this year.  I have LOVED being your child's teacher and wish each and every one of them the very best in first grade and beyond.  Have a safe, relaxing summer and enjoy the gift of time with your family.  I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Picnic Lunch

Another tradition we have at Northview on the last day of school is to eat lunch outside...weather permitting!  This year the weather did not disappoint and we got to have a picnic lunch outdoors.

Last Day Fun on the Playground

On our last day of kindergarten, we had the opportunity to play on the playground with the other kindergarten classes and just have some fun.  We played on the playground equipment, played games and drew pictures with sidewalk chalk chalk.  We also shared a fun treat.  Enjoy some photos from our fun morning.

First Grade Advice

This morning, when the kindergarten students visited the first grade classrooms, the first graders came back to the kindergarten rooms.  While they were here, we came up with a list of advice they had for the kindergartners going in to first grade.  Look at their sweet, yet practical advice they have for these future first graders!

Sunflower House

We recently read the story Sunflower House by Eve Bunting.  It is a wonderful story, about some children who plant a "house" using sunflower seeds.  We made a fun sunflower art project to go with the story.
