Working on Being Independent

With Parent - Teacher conferences approaching, we have been busy completing lots of assessments and other work so Mrs. Kurt can show our parents how much progress we are making in Kindergarten.  She says we are making lots of progress and our parents are going to be pretty happy about it!  When Mrs. Kurt is working on an assessment with a small group of students, the rest of us have been learning how to be more independent.  Today we worked on Writing Workshop and did some Math activities, including Kindergarten Yahtzee, Count and Color, Tangrams, Race you to 20, Beat you to 20, and Race you to $.15.  We are building our stamina and able to work more and more on our own.  Check it out!

We had another guest reader today.  Mrs. Sue Groskreutz, Alan's mom, came and read us The Napping House by Audrey Wood.  It is a great story!
