In Reading Workshop, we have been learning about visualizing, or mental image. Making a picture in your mind helps you to understand what the author is trying to say in their book. Today we read the book The Day It Rained Hearts by Felicia Bond. But before we read the story, Mrs. Kurt told us to make a mental image of what it would look like if it did rain hearts. She gave us a blank piece of paper and we had to draw the picture we made in our mind.
We came up with some pretty creative pictures and we shared them by doing a museum walk. Then we worked on the project we started yesterday. Guess who loves you to pieces???
Our guest reader today was Keri Williamson, Landis' mom.
After lunch and recess, we played Valentine Bingo for pencil prizes and we had our book exchange. It was a fun day in Kindergarten Plus!
