A Busy Monday

On Monday, we read through our Morning Message.  We could see it was going to be a busy day.  We were all wondering about who our guest reader was going to be.  We were very excited!!  It was Mrs. Town and she read us a wonderful book called Kindness is Cooler, Mrs. Ruler.  It is a story about a teacher named Mrs. Ruler who challenges the students in her class to perform 100 acts of kindness for others without having to be asked or told to do it.  We were very good listeners.

We enjoyed listening to Mrs. Town read to us.  She talked to us about being kind and all the ways that kindergartners can be kind.  She also told us all about our upcoming Family Fun Night this Friday, February 3.  The theme is Doing Good Together and it takes place at school starting at 6:00 P.M.  We will have the opportunity to make things for organizations in our community that need some donations. Families are welcome to attend!

Next, it was time to get to work!  We introduced some new Managed Independent Learning activities, such as Write the Room and a new Word Work activity.  We also started painting our papers in the style of Eric Carle for a BIG project we are working on this week.  Stay tuned!!
