On Tuesday, September 12, we read a version of The Gingerbread Boy by Richard Egielski. It made us so hungry that we decided to make our own gingerbread boy for a snack!
First we needed a recipe. And some ingredients. And a few tools. Then we got to work!
Idil and Dev added the packages of the mix.
Reagan and Lily added the eggs.
ROUND AND ROUND. 1, 2, 3. A GINGERBREAD BOY I SOON WILL BE!
When the dough was mixed, we formed it into the shape of a gingerbread boy.
We took it to the kitchen and asked the ladies nicely to please bake it for us. We also asked them not to peek at it in the oven. We are excited for our snack tomorrow!!
