The Gingerbread Boy is Missing!

The next morning, we were so excited for snack time.  We could smell that yummy gingerbread boy all the way from the kitchen and could harpy think of anything else besides our snack.  We decided we could not wait one minute longer…we headed to the kitchen to pick up our snack.

Except for there was one small problem…our gingerbread boy was gone!

Mrs. Offerman gave us the sad news that the gingerbread boy jumped out of the oven and ran down the hall.  She tried to catch him, but she couldn't.  And the gingerbread boy took her tray with him, too.  She needed it for lunch so she asked us to return the tray if we found the gingerbread boy.  Well, if we were going to have a snack, we needed to find that gingerbread boy.  So off we went to find him!

We searched high and low for clues.  We did spot some gingerbread crumbs on the floor in the hall.  We also found some really nice people along the way who helped us by telling us if they had seen him.

Mrs. Trachsel and Ms. Elsen

Mrs. Bailey and Mrs. Dayton

Mrs. Town, Mrs. Mullin and Mrs. Ligtenberg.  We looked everywhere but could not find him...

…well, almost everywhere.  It seems that sneaky gingerbread boy was hiding in Mr. Ball's office right across the hall from our classroom!  We sure were excited that we found him.  We also decided to eat him quick before he tried to run away again.  He was delicious!
