Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights, which is celebrated in the fall. The five day festival symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. Ms. Kieltyka gave us a book to read on Diwali. We were lucky enough this past Friday to have three of our students tell us about their family traditions around this celebration. Many thanks to Leya, Shria and Svarnash for sharing their stories with us. We loved hearing about your celebrations!
