Visitors From Head Start

This past Wednesday, our class had the pleasure of hosting both the A.M. and P.M. classes from the Head Start program at Northview.  The purpose of this visit was for the Head Start students to visit a kindergarten classroom and see what it is like to be in kindergarten.  Many of these Head Start students will begin their kindergarten school year in September and they are curious about what it will be like.

The students from Head Start joined us on the rug.  We taught them how to sit "velcro pockets",   we read a fun story, did a coloring sheet and let the Head Start kids sit in our chairs at our tables and use the tools, and we showed them all around the classroom.  It was so fun for us to be the "big kids" and to show them what kindergarten is like. We even made some new friends.  Enjoy some photos of their visit.
