Last week, we had the opportunity to have our two building literacy coaches in our classroom for our literacy block (Writer's Workshop, Interactive Read Aloud and Reader's Workshop). Mrs. Jessica Rapp and Mrs. Michelle Fiedler were here to work with Mrs. Kurt and all of our kindergarten students. It was a great experience for all of us. Mrs. Rapp modeled Guided Writing so that Mrs. Kurt can do an even better job at it.
Mrs. Fiedler helped us learn about stretching out words when we write and how to really think like a writer!
We read the story The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle. We wrote in out Reader's Notebooks about a time when we worked really hard to do something, just like the spider in this story. We shared our writing.
It was a great opportunity for us to be able to work with our literacy coaches. We ALL learned something and had lots of fun while we did. Thank you, Mrs. Fiedler and Mrs. Rapp!
