Goldfish and Guppies

The eggs in our incubator are not the only living things we are learning about.  We also have goldfish, guppies and pond snails.

If you look closely, you will see that we started out the unit with eight guppies and twelve pond snails.  six pond snails are in this tank...

…and six pond snails in this tank, along with four not very healthy goldfish.  Sadly, the pond snails, all four goldfish and one guppy have met their demise.  (Lucky for us, WalMart is close by and we were able to replace the goldfish with healthy, colorful ones!)

   

   

We have been learning about the parts of fish and doing lots of observing.  It is fun to watch them eat and to see how they behave in the tanks.  We added a tunnel to the goldfish tank to see if the goldfish will swim through the tunnel.
