What a beautiful, amazing day we had today on our field trip to Afton Apple Orchard in Hastings. We got to go on a hay ride, pick a pumpkin out of a pumpkin patch, pick three apples off real apple trees in the orchard, taste fresh apple cider, eat lunch, play on the incredible playground and visit the animals in the petting zoo.
Special shout out to our fabulous chaperones...Seon Jeong Yun (Leia's mom), Nichole Russell (Nolan's mom) and Walter Zeiss (Addy's dad) for taking the time to help us out today. And also to Mrs. Radermacher for her photography skills and help on the trip as well. We could not have done it without you!!!
A huge thanks goes out to Miss Susan, our tour guide, and the entire staff of Afton Apple Orchard. What a wonderful experience they provided for our Northview students today. In case you are wondering...we were able to pick McIntosh apples (which are tart) or Spartan apples (which are sweet). Hope you were able to enjoy them!
There are lots of photos that I uploaded from today. They are not in any particular order, but I think you will see that we had a perfect day. The weather was great, the kindergartners were very polite, well behaved and quite tired at the end of the day. Enjoy!
I wanna go to the apple orchard now. So cool!
