We had a busy but fun week in Kindergarten. We were introduced to some new Math Managed Independent Learning activities.
Each morning, one of our morning jobs is to read through the Morning Message with Mrs. Kurt. Recently our focus in the morning Message has been punctuation marks and high frequency words. Occasionally we tie math concepts in to it as well!
We also started our literacy assessments this past week. Here we are doing our Writing Vocabulary assessment. This is to see how many words we can write on our own in ten minutes. We also read our high frequency words. Next week we will complete Hearing and Recording Sounds, Letter and Sound Identification, Concepts About Print and BAS to determine our reading levels. It will be another busy week!
