With the school year quickly coming to an end, there has been a lot of talk about first grade. Much like Curious George, we are also very curious about first grade. Where are the first grade classrooms? What do they look like? Who are the first grade teachers? What will we do in first grade?
On Friday, we had the opportunity to visit a first grade classroom. We visited Mrs. Ellingworth's classroom. We understand that she may not be our teacher in the fall, but we were able to visit with her and get an idea of what a first grade room is like. We discovered that some things were similar, like the rug, easel, teacher table and smart board. We also learned that some things were different, like the students get to have their own desks. How cool is that??
We really appreciate that Mrs. Ellingworth took time out her busy day to show us around. Enjoy the photos from our visit to first grade.
