It was a very busy week in Kindergarten!
We launched out Author's Study of Eric Carle. We explored lots of his books and wrote down the things we noticed about them.
We sure have learned lots about Eric Carle this week…we can't wait to keep learning about him!!
We also had lots of fun activities to keep us busy during indoor recess this week...
We celebrated a very special person's birthday…Mrs. Hanson. She works so hard for all of us at Northview and we wanted to be sure she had a special birthday. We even sang to her.
On Thursday we started our Yoga Calm Residency in Kindergarten. We loved meeting Miss Sarah and learning how to do some things to help us calm our bodies at school and at home!
We went to the computer lab on Friday and created our own very hungry caterpillars using the program Tux Paint. We even got to print them. Aren't they cute?
We also learned about why we are off of school this Monday. We learned about the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ms. Kieltyka read us a biography about him for interactive read aloud. We talked lots about how Dr. King believed he could do anything. He helped make changes in our country so that all people could be treated fairly and equally. We wrote about his story in our Reader's Notebooks.
We are grateful for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and for his beliefs and hard work. We hope you all have a Happy MLK Day!
