A Busy (But Short!) Week

Congratulations to this week's Physical Education All Stars of the Week…Erica and Tam.  We are very proud of you.  Keep up the good work!

In Math, we worked more on patterns and symmetry.  We created a class butterfly quilt.  We constructed the squares, decided on the shape it should be, decided on a pattern, and put it all together.  Mrs. Kurt was going to glue it all together over the weekend so we are excited to see how it all turned out Monday morning!

With so many short school weeks, we are so grateful that Mrs. Joanna, our library clerk, has been so accommodating with the schedule for checking out books.  She makes sure we get there every week.  Thank you, Mrs. Joanna.  Coming to the library is one of our highlights each week!

Recess and lunch continue to be two of the most fun parts of our day.  These kindergartners are doing so great in the lunchroom and they have amazing manners!  We are all still working on trying to eat a little more in the lunchroom!

We continue to focus on oral storytelling in Writer's Workshop.  This helps us to learn good speaking and listening skills.  It is also very helpful in the writing process.  If you can tell a story, you are organizing your thoughts, telling details about something and thinking about adding even more details to your writing.  It has been so fun to see the progress we are making with our speaking skills!

And look at the cute bells we made this week.  So festive and they look great outside of our room in the hall!
