Busy Days in Kindergarten

Here are some highlights from our week in Kindergarten.  Ms. Kieltyka read us the book My Big Brother by Miriam Cohen.  We are using the illustrations in this book to learn how to sketch people when we are drawing our stories in our writing journals.

   

   

We did lots of sharing each day at the end of our Writer's Workshop time.  This week, we used to document camera to show our work and then our friends told us about their stories.  When they were done, the audience got to ask questions or make comments about their work.

   

   

In Math, we have been working on patterns.  We are learning to label and extend patterns.

   

We also painted some beautiful fall leaves to hang in our classroom.  We used water color paints for this.
