On Monday and Tuesday of this week, we tried a new way of sharing. It is called Table Share. Each student was given a copy of the text The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle. Their job was to review the text, then take a post it note to mark the page of the book that was their favorite. Once this part was done, we had all the students gather around the blue table. With the help of Mrs. Kurt, these students modeled for their peers how to do a table share. Each person gets a chance to speak to the students at the table. They had to show their favorite page then use their kindergarten speaking voice to explain why this was their favorite part. When one students completed this job, the next student at the table shared. This process continued until all the students at the table had a chance to share.
These students did such a great job. On Tuesday we had a chance to do some sharing in smaller groups with just the people at our tables. This was really fun and we are excited to try this again soon!
